Transport Empire wins best simulation game on Android in Best App Ever Award

The 7th annual Best App Ever Awards recently announced the winners in the Android division, among which was Transport Empire: Steam Tycoon, developed by Game Insight. The project took first place in the category of Best Simulation Game.

The Best App Ever Awards are organized by 148Apps and the Steel Media Network. The awards have been held annually since 2008 and aim to compile a list of people’s favorite apps. Voting is user-based, meaning that the winners of the awards are not simply the best-selling apps, but ones that are recognized and backed by the public.

Transport Empire was originally released in 2014 on iPad, followed by versions on iPhone and Android devices. Now the game is available on the Apple App Store, Google Play, the Amazon Appstore, the Windows Phone Store, the Windows Store, and on Facebook. The project has been acclaimed for its high quality graphics, enticing gameplay, and unique steampunk aesthetics. Little more than a year has passed since the game’s initial release, but that hasn’t stopped Transport Empire from being able to boast of a massive, four million player base across various platforms and regions, as well as regular content updates.
