Insidemobileapps.com | Game Insight announces Cloud Raiders for mobile, Facebook

Mobile and social game developer and publisher Game Insight has announced Cloud Raiders, its upcoming strategy game that sees players controlling armies of sky pirates against monsters and other players. Developed by innoWate, the creator of the My Country games, Cloud Raiders will give players a floating base in the sky, which must be protected from enemy invasions.

Cloud Raiders seems ready to capitalize on the growing popularity of the base-building and base conquering genre, which has skyrocketed in popularity thanks to games like Supercell’s Clash of Clans.

In Cloud Raiders, players will build their base and protect it with items like cannons, traps and magical artifacts. Players will recruit troops of varying strengths, and can send them to enemy camps to secure loot.

Players can research new troop types over time, including marauders, bombardiers and dragons, and can support their troops in battle via cannon salvos. Gamers can form clans with their friends, and can also engage in player-vs-player raids in a fight for in-game superiority.
Cloud Raiders is set for release first on Android devices, and will come to Facebook, iOS, Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 “in the near future.” Check back soon for more, and to track the game on AppData, our tracking platform for mobile and social apps and developers.
